Financial worries caused by an ailing family have almost convinced sophomore Kenny Anderson that tonight’s game against North Carolina will be his last regular-season game at Georgia Tech.
Anderson might apply for the NBA draft because his mother is suffering from ulcers and no longer works, and his grandfather is ill.
“If I’m between (pick) one and five, I have to leave,” Anderson said. “I’m still going to wait until the season is over to decide. I’m not desperate for money, but I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth.”
