TODAY’S NEWS, TOMORROW’S TELEVISION : The Meadows sisters--Audrey and Jayne--work together on ‘Uncle Buck’

Sisters Audrey and Jayne Meadows will act together for the first time in more than two decades when they play sisters on an upcoming episode of CBS’ low-rated sitcom “Uncle Buck.” Audrey Meadows plays Buck’s acerbic aunt on the series.

ABC’s “When You Remember Me,” which starred Fred Savage in his first dramatic role, has received the Christopher Award, which is presented to “creative people behind the works that offer the highest values of the human spirit--the producers, the writers and the directors.”

Josh Hamilton of “Big,” Anthony Heald and Veronica Cartwright star in a new “CBS Schoolbreak Special” about incest: “Abby, My Love,” airing April 2. Another “CBS Schoolbreak Special”--”The Girl With the Crazy Brother”--and “No Place Like Home” won the 1991 Ohio State Awards in the Performing Arts and Humanities category.

Beginning April 7, the Arts and Entertainment Network will air the acclaimed series “Biography” twice a week. The series, now in its fifth season, is hosted by Peter Graves and will feature new documentaries on Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Jackie Robinson, Neil Armstrong, Joe Dimaggio, Muhammad Ali and former President Ronald Reagan.

KCET is completing production on “Lifeguides,” a series of informational programs for the home and the professional video marketplace. The series kicks off with “Healing Sexual Abuse: The Recovery Process,” which also will air on KCET next month as part of National Childhood Sexual Abuse Month. Upcoming programs include “The Journey Back: Professionals Recovering from Addiction,” Diet For a New America: Healing Yourself & the Earth” and “Healthy Aging.”

Beginning April 22 for 10 consecutive Mondays, Fox Broadcasting Company will air original motion pictures as well as popular feature films. The new films include “Robin Hood,” starring Patrick Bergin of “Sleeping With the Enemy”, “The Haunted,” starring Sally Kirkland, and “Omen IV-the Awakening” with Faye Grant and Michael Woods. Feature films include “Die Hard,” “Alien Nation” and “Wall Street.”

The Nashville Network’s “The Texas Connection” kicks off its second season April 13. Jerry Jeff Walker is the series’ new host and Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson are the guests. Also on TNN: Clifton Davis of “Amen” fame and singer Sandi Patti will cohost gospel music’s “22nd Annual Dove Awards” April 11.
