Called by many dance-music fanatics the best dance album in years, C&C; Music Factory’s “Gonna Make You Sweat,” featuring singer Martha Wash, jumped five notches to No. 5 on the Billboard magazine chart. It’s such a big seller that it has an outside chance at reaching No. 1. Great White’s hard-rocking “Hooked” is one of the fastest-rising albums on the chart, leaping from No. 48 to 18 in just its second week on the chart. Other fast-risers: Enigma’s “MCMXC A.D.” (No. 17) and Oleta Adams’ “Circle of One” (No. 30). Timmy T’s “One More Try” is the new No. 1 pop single.

* All the hoopla surrounding the release of director Oliver Stone’s movie “The Doors” has translated into a hot-selling soundtrack, which entered the chart at No. 40. It features original Doors material but no songs with vocals by the movie’s star, Val Kilmer.
