Tom Sieckmann held a one-stroke lead Saturday when darkness postponed the rain-delayed third round of the PGA Tour event at Orlando, Fla.

Sieckmann and 17 others, including most of his closest pursuers, marked their positions and were scheduled to return to the Bay Hill Club this morning to complete the third round.

Sieckmann, who had played 12 holes when darkness fell, was 12-under par for the tournament.

Arnold Palmer, the 61-year-old tournament host, was among the 58 players who beat darkness and completed third-round play. Palmer, who made the cut in a regular-tour event for the first time since the 1989 PGA championship, had a 70 and completed 54 holes at 213.

Darkness suspended the second round of the Desert Inn LPGA International at Las Vegas with 24 players still on the course. Kristi Albers, who shot a 71, was the leader in the clubhouse at one-over-par 145, but Beth Daniel was at one-under par with three holes to play.

Rocky Thompson and Charles Coody share the lead with six-under-par 66s in the Senior PGA Tour event at San Antonio. Lee Trevino is second at 67 in the rain-delayed tournament which was shortened from 54 holes to 36.
