An Arcadia restaurant employee was shot to death early Sunday and another employee was seriously wounded by two assailants who opened fire with a shotgun while about 65 people were in the establishment, a police spokesman said.

The shooting, at about 12:35 a.m., occurred at Reuben’s restaurant on Colorado Boulevard.

Police said the two male victims were employed at the restaurant as bouncers.

One of the men was dead at the scene; the other was in serious, but stable, condition at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, a nursing supervisor said. Names of the victims were withheld pending notification of their families.

Two men, estimated to be in their 30s, entered the restaurant and at least two shotgun blasts were fired at the victims before both assailants fled, police said.
