Beverly Hills : Stewart Donates to Schools
Actor James Stewart has made a major donation to the Beverly Hills school district, officials have announced.
Stewart requested that the amount of the gift not be revealed. The donation, which will go toward programs at the high school, was made to the Beverly Hills Education Foundation, a private, nonprofit fund-raising group.
In a prepared statement, Stewart noted that he and his wife have lived in Beverly Hills for 42 years and that his children attended district schools. “We have been the happiest of residents and take great pleasure in being of help to the city’s public school system,” he said.
