TELEPHONE BOOK RECYCLING

More than 496,000 telephone books, weighing almost 1,000 tons, are being delivered to county residents. Old phone books may be dropped off 24 hours a day through April 30 in recycling bins throughout the county. The Countywide Recycling Consortium’s goal is to recycle 200 tons of telephone books that would otherwise take space in landfills.
