Kenneth R. Parker, 61, Entertainment Reporter
Kenneth R. Parker of Pomona, a longtime entertainment industry reporter and publicist, has died of cancer. He was 61.
Parker worked for the Los Angeles Examiner, San Gabriel Valley Daily Tribune, Universal Studios and KCBS television. He was a coach and referee for the American Youth Soccer Organization in the San Gabriel Valley and the Pasadena Youth Indoor Soccer League.
Before moving to Pomona seven years ago, he had lived in Altadena for 15 years and in Alhambra for 20 years. He is survived by three sons.
A memorial service was held at Claremont Presbyterian Church.
