Revised Plan for Condo Project OKd

Share

The Lawndale City Council on Thursday approved revised plans by a Lawndale developer to build four luxury condominiums on two lots.

A special use permit issued by the Planning Commission had been suspended in January after city activist Gary McDonald filed an appeal, saying the developer’s plans did not conform to the City Code.

The City Council voted 4 to 1 to allow Jonathan Stein to begin work on the project at 4702 and 4706 W. 165th St. Councilwoman Carol Norman dissented.

On Thursday, McDonald said he was satisfied with Stein’s revisions, which included alterations to a bay window, chimney and patio that would have encroached onto neighboring properties.
