Long Beach : Angry Neighbors Get Delay of Wrigley Heights Condos

Share

A group of angry Long Beach residents managed to delay the approval of a 26-unit condominium project in Wrigley Heights that they say will only contribute to more density, traffic and crime.

A petition signed by 67 neighbors opposing the project at 421 W. 33rd St. was presented to the Planning Commission last week by 21-year resident Gloria Flint. “I don’t think any of us feel you’re improving our neighborhood by putting in a condo,” Flint told the commission.

City planners postponed approval of the project until May 2 to give the project’s architect and developer a chance to meet with the residents and iron out their differences.
