Woman Arrested in Death of Boyfriend
A San Fernando woman was arrested on suspicion of murder in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, San Fernando police said Thursday.
L.C. Harden, 39, was stabbed once in the chest about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday during an argument with his girlfriend, Sgt. Michael Harvey said. He died on the sidewalk outside the house in the 1100 block of Orange Grove Avenue, Harvey said.
Police arrested Madelyn Ann Williams, 39, in the slaying. She was being held without bail at the Sybil Brand Institute for Women, Harvey said.
Witnesses told police that Harden beat Williams and attempted to choke her during the fight, Harvey said. Williams grabbed a knife, tried to force Harden out of the house and stabbed him as he neared the door, Harvey said.
Williams then called 911 to report that she had stabbed Harden, police said.
