Consolidated Freightways: The transportation company reported a first-quarter loss of $11.1 million on revenue of $1 billion, compared to a $33.9-million loss on revenue of $997.7 million in the year-ago period. The Palo Alto-based company said its Emery Worldwide unit had a 20% increase in revenue, but CF Motor Freight and Con-Way Transportation Services showed declines.
