Raiders Sign Defensive End Mark
The Raiders announced the signing Wednesday of free-agent defensive end Greg Mark, a former University of Miami star and a third-round draft choice of the New York Giants last year.
Mark, 6 feet 3 and 260 pounds, was a first team All-American at Miami in 1989 but was released by the Giants after the final cutdown in 1990. He was signed immediately by the Miami Dolphins, who released him after five games. He was claimed by Philadelphia and played two games with the Eagles before going on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. He was released late in the season.
Mark was a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award at Miami.
