A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Santa Barbara County in connection with the stabbing death of a Southeast San Diego man in October, police said.
Aris Leopando, 29, was arrested Thursday by Santa Maria police and returned to San Diego Friday by homicide detectives, said Lt. Dan Berglund of the San Diego Police Department.
Berglund said Leopando was booked on suspicion of murder in connection with the Oct. 5 death of James Martin, 28.
Martin’s body, with multiple stab wounds, was found in the 200 block of Sunswept Street, wrapped in a sleeping bag.
