Spitz Now 0-2 in Comeback as Biondi Wins

Mark Spitz’s comeback was dealt another setback Saturday when he was beaten by Mark Biondi in a 50-meter butterfly match race at Mission Viejo.
Biondi swam the race in 24.51 seconds in his attempt to break the world-record time of 24.39. Spitz’s time was 26.51.
Spitz, 41, lost to Tom Jager in the 50-meter butterfly two weeks ago in the first race of his comeback. Jager’s time was 24.92, Spitz’s 26.70.
