‘South Africa’ Later: The newsmagazine “South Africa Now” may be going out of production, but cable TV viewers in South-Central Los Angeles will still be able to see the reruns. Melvonna Ballenger, community relations coordinator for Continental Cablevision South-Central Los Angeles, said the system will show the half-hour program, which recently won a George Polk Award for broadcast journalism, on its community access channel 28 on Thursdays at 7 p.m. “South Africa Now” went out of production last week because of a lack of funding.
