A single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near Helix High School in La Mesa killed one man and sent another to the hospital, police said.
Cesar Gustavo Preciado, 20, of Lemon Grove, was killed after he missed a turn on Yale Avenue, south of University Avenue, and his van rolled over, police said.
The crash pinned Preciado in the van and he died at the scene, according to police.
Preciado’s passenger, David Cain of La Mesa, was in satisfactory condition with minor cuts Sunday night at Sharp Memorial Hospital, a nursing supervisor said.
