AROUND THE MAJOR LEAGUES : Mitchell Changes His Mind Again
Kevin Mitchell of the San Francisco Giants changed his mind and decided to continue his appeal of a two-game suspension he received for charging the mound in a game on April 10.
Mitchell originally said he would appeal, then said he would begin serving the suspension Tuesday before changing his mind again.
The NL expansion committee will not make its recommendation to owners until the quarterly meetings on June 12 and a discussion and vote will follow immediately, NL President Bill White said.
