Imitation of Life (AMC tonight at 6:30 p.m., Monday at 1 a.m.). This fine 1934 first version of the Fannie Hurst novel teams Claudette Colbert with Louise Beavers to make a fortune from packaging Beavers’s pancake mix; heartbreak occurs when Beavers’ light-skinned daughter (Fredi Washington) wants to pass for white. Directed by John Stahl.

The Naked Kiss (TMC Monday at 8 a.m.). The 1964 Sam Fuller classic opens with its bald prostitute heroine (Constance Towers) losing her wig in a ferocious struggle . . . and that’s just the beginning.

Moulin Rouge (Showtime Monday at 10 a.m.). The elegant, poignant 1952 John Huston film biography of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec (Jose Ferrer) was shot in shimmering, experimental color; time has not lessened its impact.
