Shooting Victim Found Inside His Apartment
Police, acting on a phone tip, found the body of a 33-year-old man who had been shot to death Monday in an apartment in the 1200 block of North Placentia Avenue.
Esteban Barrera was found about 1 p.m. in a hallway with several gunshot wounds to the upper body, said Sgt. Jerry King. Barrera, he said, rented the apartment with several roommates.
None of Barrera’s roommates were home at the time the victim was found, King said.
Police questioned neighbors, but no witnesses were found, he said.
The investigation is continuing.
