A Superior Court judge ruled Tuesday that white supremacist Tom Metzger is entitled to keep $45,000 after his Fallbrook home is sold to satisfy a civil judgment against him.
Judge Lawrence Kapiloff rejected Metzger’s claim that recent revisions in the California homestead law entitled him to $75,000.
Since a Portland, Ore., jury issued a $12.5-million verdict against Metzger and his racial hatred group, the White Aryan Resistance, a lien has been placed on Metzger’s house and his businesses have been confiscated.
Metzger, who said he was representing himself in court because no attorney would take his case, said he will appeal Kapiloff’s decision.
