Chrysler Recalls Minivans: The auto maker recalled about 640,000 of its 1989- and 1990-model minivans to repair the front passenger seat belt buckle strap, which is susceptible to being stepped on and bent. A Chrysler spokesman said the company was aware of two minor injuries but no fatalities because of the problem. Chrysler sold 749,667 Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler minivans during the two model years.
