OJAI : Ojai Board Likely to OK Layoff of Aide
The Ojai school board tonight is expected to ratify the layoff of one instructional aide and a reduction from nine hours to six hours weekly for a second.
The layoff is necessary because funding for the position is being redirected, Assistant Supt. Pamela Martens said.
The reduction in hours is due to a lack of work, and is a fairly standard action at the end of the school year.
The board will meet at district headquarters, 414 E. Ojai Ave., at 7 p.m.
