At 3:30 a.m. Sunday, two suspected Latino gang members were allegedly shot by four reputed black gang members in a drive-by shooting in City Heights, police said. According to police, the two Latinos were walking in the 3000 block of Poplar Street when a car carrying four suspected black gang members drove by.

Police said that one of the Latinos waved a knife at the car, and the driver made a U-turn and confronted the two youths. One Hispanic youth was shot in the hip, and his friend was shot in the hip and leg. They called police from a nearby convenience store. The suspects in the car got away, police said.
