Rosas, who is one of 23 students in the college’s Arts Mentor Program, has written about the Los Angeles art scene since moving here in 1983, focusing particularly on Latino artists. The photo-documentary study, which is expected to include 40 to 50 black-and-white images of such artists as Robert de Montes, Barbara Carrasco and John Valdez, will have its opening reception Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
