FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Weekly Motorists’ Advisory About Freeway Closures

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Bellflower: Connector road from the eastbound Artesia Freeway (91) to the northbound and southbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605), plus the Bellflower Boulevard on-ramp; 6:30 to 11 a.m. today; bridge repair.

2. Bellflower: Westbound No. 3, 4 and 5 lanes from Studebaker Road to Bellflower Boulevard, plus the Bellflower Boulevard off-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

3. Carson: Eastbound No. 4 lane from Avalon Boulevard to Acacia Avenue, plus the Avalon Boulevard on-ramp, Central Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp, Wilmington Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; marker repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

4. Bell and South Gate: Southbound No. 4 lane from Florence Avenue to Imperial Highway, plus the Firestone Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; marker repair.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

5. Industry: Eastbound No. 1 lane from the San Gabriel River Freeway (605) junction to Crossroads Parkway; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; drain cleaning.

6. Industry: Eastbound No. 1 lane from Crossroads Parkway to 7th Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; drain cleaning.

7. Monterey Park: Eastbound No. 1 lane from the Long Beach Freeway (710) junction to Wilcox Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; drain cleaning.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

8. Carson: Northbound No. 1 lane at the Main Street on-ramp; 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. today; pruning.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

9. Cerritos: Northbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from South Street to the Artesia Freeway (91) junction, the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605) connector to the eastbound and westbound Artesia Freeway (91), and the South Street on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

10. Cerritos: Southbound No. 6 lane from Alondra Boulevard to the Artesia Freeway (91) junction, the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605) connector to the westbound Artesia Freeway (91), and the Alondra Boulevard on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

11. La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

12. Norwalk: Southbound alternating lanes from Norwalk Boulevard to Firestone Boulevard, plus the Norwalk Boulevard on-ramp; 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today; landscaping.

13. Santa Fe Springs: Northbound No. 4 lane from Alondra Boulevard to Carmenita Road; 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; fence repair.
