NBC News Bulletin: NBC News is planning to close its Frankfurt facility but will keep a newsgathering “presence” there, NBC News President Michael Gartner has told news staffers. Frankfurt-based correspondent Mike Boettcher, who gained recognition for his coverage from the Middle East during the Persian Gulf War, will return to the United States for reassignment. Several positions in London also will be eliminated.
