Weak Storm System Brings a Trace of Rain

Share

A weak storm system moved through Southern California on Thursday, producing cloudy skies with a few light showers in coastal and mountain areas, the National Weather Service said.

Rainfall was extremely light; 0.01 of an inch was recorded at the Los Angeles Civic Center, and most areas saw only a trace. By Thursday afternoon, the faint showers gave way to partly cloudy skies.

Forecasters said another weak weather front would move through the Southland late Thursday and early this morning with a 20% chance of light showers. By this afternoon it should become partly cloudy again, the weather service said. Rainfall generally will be less than 0.05 of an inch, forecasters said.
