FIRE FIGHT: Huntington Beach is the campfire capital of Southern California, but those planning Fourth of July wienie roasts there might do well to arrive before breakfast. . . . Despite 8 miles of shoreline and 1,600 fire rings at city and state beaches, lifeguards there say they could all be taken by as early as 8 a.m. if today proves to be sunny and warm. “You can’t reserve them,” reminds Huntington Beach city marine safety officer Mike Baumgartner.
