California IN BRIEF : YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK : Woman Missing, Feared Drowned

A Southern California woman was missing and presumed drowned after she disappeared in the Merced River while taking photographs with a companion, a park spokeswoman said. Michelle Ann Boettcher, 23, of Huntington Beach, apparently fell into the river after climbing down to the river bank near the Arch Rock park entrance on California 140, spokeswoman Lisa Dapprich said.
