Rick Wilson Chalks Up Race Victory No. 3,000

LAUREL, Md. —
At Laurel Race Course on Tuesday, Rick Wilson became the 53rd rider to reach the 3,000 victory mark.
The 37-year-old Oklahoman rode Flags Up to victory in the first race for the milestone. Later in the day, he picked up a late mount on Carry On Rob in the fifth race for his second victory of the card.
Wilson, who started riding in 1970, settled in Maryland last September and has been riding for the successful Ben W. Perkins Jr. stable.
