Associated Press
GRAND MARAIS, Minn. —
A fire roared through a three-story lodge near this northeastern Minnesota town on Friday, killing at least seven people and injuring six. Some frantic guests leaped from upper-story windows.
Cook County Sheriff John Lyght said that seven bodies were removed from the rubble of the Windigo Lodge and that the search would continue.
Registration records were destroyed in the blaze, so it could not be determined how many guests were at the lodge.
