OXNARD : Cops and Cruisers II Car Show Today
Hot rods, race cars and elegant antiques will be among hundreds of cars on display today at the Car Show Cops and Cruisers II in Oxnard.
The second annual event, sponsored by the Oxnard Police Department and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ventura County, also will feature children’s games, live entertainment and food.
Car registration is from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the show will open to the public at 10 a.m. At 3 p.m., trophies and other awards will be given to more than 85 outstanding cars.
The show will be held at Statham Boulevard and Emerson Avenue, near the Vintage Museum of Transportation and Wildlife at 1421 Emerson Ave.
Admission to the car show is free. Admission to view the collection of cars at the museum is $10, and proceeds for the day will go to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ventura County.
