Lakeside
Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a Lakeside elementary school that caused an undisclosed amount of damage, authorities said.
The fire broke out at 12:59 a.m. Sunday at Lindo Park Elementary School on Lake Shore Drive. Firefighters from the Lakeside, El Cajon, Bostonia, Santee and La Mesa fire departments battled the blaze for about an hour, authorities said.
The cause of the blaze was not known late Sunday. Investigators said at least one classroom was severely damaged.
The investigation was continuing.
