Evans Back at Paramount: Former Paramount Pictures mogul Robert Evans is back at Paramount with a new five-year contract, returning after an eight-year hiatus from active producing and 25 years after he became head of production there. Evans said of his new deal, announced Monday, that “turning a nightmare back into a dream doesn’t seem so impossible.” His troubles in recent years involved being questioned about the 1983 “Cotton Club” murder of financier Roy Radin, being convicted of a misdemeanor cocaine charge and producing “The Cotton Club,” a 1984 box-office flop.
