SANTA ANA — A 19-year-old woman was hospitalized Friday after she was shot in the back of the head during a drive-by shooting, police said.
The victim, who was not identified, was listed in stable condition at UCI Medical Center in Orange, said Sgt. Joe Kahapea.
Kahapea said she was a passenger in a car traveling south on Flower Street at about 6:15 p.m. Another car pulled alongside, and someone fired a shotgun from the driver’s side, the sergeant said.
At least two pellets struck the back of the victim’s head, Kahapea said. The driver was not injured.
Police have no suspects. An investigation is continuing.
