PRO FOOTBALL : DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Tackle Wilkerson Is Signed
The Raiders signed offensive tackle Bruce Wilkerson to a one-year contract believed to be worth about $300,000.
To make room for Wilkerson, the Raiders released safety Zeph Lee, a former USC running back.
The media crush surrounding tailback Roger Craig and safety Ronnie Lott this week is beginning to take its toll on the players and Coach Art Shell.
“They’ve been wearing thin the last couple of days,” Shell said. “They spend more time doing interviews than they do on the field.”
Lott and Craig will make their Raider debuts Saturday against their former team, the San Francisco 49ers, at the Coliseum. They signed with the Raiders as Plan B free agents.
