CAPISTRANO BEACH : 1 Killed, 1 Injured in Freeway Accident
A Corvette veered off the San Diego Freeway and landed behind a condominium Wednesday night, killing one of the car’s occupants, authorities said.
A dispatcher with the Orange County Fire Department said the second occupant was transferred to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Corvette was heading south at 8:30 p.m. when it was driven off the side of the freeway near the Beach Cities exit. The car was found behind a condominium at 32462 Camino Capistrano. It was not immediately known if anyone at that residence was hurt.
The people in the car were not immediately identified.
