Deputy Is Accused of Abusing His Wife
A San Diego sheriff’s corrections deputy was arrested Thursday on suspicion of abusing his wife, authorities said.
Ken Garcia, 31, was booked into the County Jail downtown, said Sgt. Glenn Revell, of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
Garcia, who has been with the department since 1987, works in the County Jail in El Cajon, Revell said. San Diego police arrested him, but no details of the arrest were available.
Garcia was scheduled to be released on his own recognizance Thursday night, a jail spokeswoman said. He is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 1.
