Bryan Twins Reach Doubles Semifinals
Camarillo twins Mike and Bob Bryan qualified for Friday’s semifinals of the 14-year-old doubles division at the National Hardcourt tennis championships in San Antonio, Tex.
In singles play, Mike and Bob won their matches Wednesday to advance to today’s quarterfinals. Mike, seeded 10th, defeated No. 7 Mark Urbaincyzk of Lake Mary, Fla., 6-1, 6-3. Bob, seeded 16th, beat Tarzana’s Jason Weiss, 6-1, 6-4.
Mike will meet San Jose’s Ryan Wolters and Bob will play Mark Loughrin of Denver today.
