Taking a Beating for Beating Traffic
I heartily second Allan Malamud’s comments about the early departure of Los Angeles “fans.”
It’s always been astonishing to me to see people heading for the exits just before the most climactic and dramatic moment of the game. To me, these rare moments are what sports are all about.
To those who are obsessed with “beating the crowd” at all costs, I say, “Stay home.”
