Transient Found Slain
The body of a 30-year-old woman was found Tuesday morning in the San Diego River bottom between the Interstate 5 bridges in Mission Valley, authorities said.
Amanda Olmstead, a transient, was stabbed in the chest, said Dan Matticks, a county medical examiner investigator.
She was found about 9 a.m. by transients who live along the river, police said.
