Peter Senior and The International made it through two cuts and three rounds Saturday. Both the player and the tournament at Castle Rock, Colo., did it the hard way.

Senior survived two playoffs--one in the morning and another in the afternoon--to advance to today’s final field of 24. And the tournament finally got back on schedule after a series of storm delays--six interruptions totaling more than six hours--disrupted play and caused two overnight postponements.

John Daly does not have a chance, however. The 25-year-old rookie who stormed to stardom in the PGA Championship last week was among the 120 players eliminated.

The best score after three rounds was Bobby Clampett with 29 points, but everyone starts from zero today.

Jody Anschutz shot a two-under-par 70 to take the lead after two rounds of the LPGA event at Brooklyn Park, Minn. Anschutz is at six-under-par 138, one ahead of 19-year-old Brandie Burton.

Chi Chi Rodriguez has a four-shot lead in the Senior PGA Tour event at Kenmore, Wash., after a five-under-par 67 in the second round. Rodriguez is at 14-under-par 130, four ahead of Joe Jimenez, Dewitt Weaver, Dick Hendrickson, Bruce Crampton and Mike Hill.

Bob Lasken of Whittier tied the course record with a nine-under-par 63 and shares the lead with Toshi Izawa of Japan after three rounds of the $115,000 Queen Mary Open at Lakewood Country Club.

The leaders are at 200, 16 under par. Vic Regalado bogeyed the last hole and is two shots back.

First prize is $20,000.
