NATIONAL ROUNDUP : Housebuster Wins the Forego by a Nose
Housebuster beat Senor Speedy by a nose victory to win the $115,800 Forego Handicap at Saratoga on Sunday.
Housebuster, ridden by Craig Perret, had fractions of 21 4/5 and 43 4/5 to lead throughout and get his third victory in six starts this year.
He finished the seven furlongs in 1:21 and earned $69,480 for Robert P. Levy.
Housebuster returned $3.20, $2.80 and $2.20. Senor Speedy paid $11.80 and $3.40 and Clever Trevor returned $2.80.
Majestic Sweep and Naked Greed won the split $50,000 Dr. Fager Division of the Florida Stallion Stakes for 2-year-olds on a sloppy track at Calder near Miami.
Majestic Sweep, an 11-1 shot, beat the odds-on favorite, Tough And Rugged, by one length. Appealing Regards rallied to finish third at 20-1.
Naked Greed closed with a rush to win the second division by 2 1/2 lengths over Oh My Blue Boy. Silverliner, a 42-1 shot, was third.
