OUTLOOK

And speaking of droughts. . . . Jones, in his second season at El Dorado, is forced to face the difficult task off turning around the Golden Hawks’ sagging fortunes with only 33 players. El Dorado has won only twice in the past two seasons, scoring three touchdowns in a 0-10 1989 season. Last season was better, but not by much. The Golden Hawks did manage a 28-10 blowout over Katella in the next-to-last league game to close the season on a high note. Ayala, Selway and Roth were all-league selections last season and will be the best of the 33 Golden Hawks this season. They will once again be counted on to provide needed leadership and experience.
