Hollywood : Woo Appoints New Deputy
Councilman Michael Woo has appointed aide Diana Brueggemann to be his chief deputy, replacing Eric Roth.
Roth said he is seeking a job in the private sector and hopes the job change will enable him to spend more time with his wife and infant daughter. He is leaving now, he said, to give Woo the chance to choose a permanent deputy during the two years remaining in his council term.
“I regret having him go,” Woo said of Roth, his planning deputy for more than three years and chief aide for the past seven months. Roth said he will continue to work for Woo on special projects for several months.
Brueggemann has headed Woo’s district office in Hollywood for the past two years. She will be replaced in the district office by Kathy Godfrey, who has been a field deputy for the past two years and was Woo’s liaison to the hillside communities in his district.
