Don’t Blame the Dogs

The old saying “there oughta be a law” should be changed, in this case, to “there is a law.” It is identified as the leash law, and is widely ignored by a large number of dog owners, who, it would appear, do not believe this law applies to them.

This law not only provides protection to people encountering, and often being attacked or bitten by “friendly” dogs, but it also provides protection to the animal.

If we are to point fingers at parties displaying cruelty to animals, then let’s start with irresponsible dog owners. The fate of death or injury suffered by many more animals need never happen.
