Former heavyweight boxing champion Trevor Berbick was sentenced to six months probation after he was convicted of misdemeanor assault for attacking his former financial manager, Novelette Hanse, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. A jury acquitted Berbick, 39, of armed kidnaping and aggravated assault.
