An estimated $10,000 worth of platinum jewelry was stolen from a Ventura Keys apartment Sunday, a police spokesman said Monday.

Burglars cut through a front window screen at the apartment in the 2700 block of Harbor Boulevard sometime between noon and midnight, Ventura Police Sgt. Bob Anderson said. Once inside, they took several valuable necklaces, earrings and a bow tie made of platinum. Also stolen was a cosmetics kit valued at $1,000, Anderson said.

No suspects have been identified in the burglary, but an investigation is continuing, officers said.
