Carvey’s Coming Back: After lengthy negotiations, Dana Carvey will be back on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” for the new season kicking off Sept. 28. Carvey’s representatives said Thursday that his contract covers this year and the first six shows of next season--which takes him through the 1992 presidential election. He’ll then have an option to renew for the balance of next season. Said Carvey: “After President Bush is re-elected, my job is done.” Carvey’s cache of “SNL” characters range from the Church Lady to President Bush.
